The Rotary Club of Grays Thurrock are pleased to state the Local Heats were once again well supported for the third year of this competition. After much debate by the judging panel the three age category winners were selected and these were submitted to the District Competition. We are delighted to announce that from all those received by the District our junior age category entrant, Freya McCarthy, Orsett Primary School, was awarded First Prize and will now be entered into the National Competition. We are likewise pleased to note our intermediate age category entrant, Caitlin Murray, William Edwards School received a highly commended certificate.
Unfortunately due to the current issues the opportunities to present Local certificates by our Club president have had to be put on hold, although all Local Heat certificates of participation have been distributed wherever possible.
