Christmas this year will be a little different.  We cannot take Santa around the streets of Thurrock this year but he has told us in an exclusive interview that nothing will stop him from visiting you all on the 24th.  He has told us that he and his elves have been working hard making toys for all the good children of Thurrock.  The interview will be available here soon.
 
So be good and Santa will visit you all this Christmas.

Will the concert happen?
 
Yes it will but it will be different this year.  A virtual concert will be held on 20 December at 4pm. 
 
This year we have David Walliams, Bonnie Langford, Phil Davis, Ollie Murs and Pedro Lopes. As well as these celebrities being so generous with their time, our usual concert stalwarts in the Aveley & Newham Brass Band, the Mosaic Choir and Woodside Academy school have all been brilliant; along with our local young performance-artists and their teachers, they have all done an amazing job of producing and recording performances in these difficult, socially-distanced times.
