President in waiting Elaine Stevens presents a cheque for £200 to Thurrock Play Network to assist in their work

The Pyramid Resource Centre collects re-useable waste from businesses that would otherwise be sent to landfill. These waste materials are available for art, craft, and design and technology projects or to be just creative. They are not only giving the community the opportunity to use our resources but also helping the environment become a little bit greener.

What they need from you!

Everyday companies will have to discard their waste products. Much of this is collected and may be put into landfill sites, normally  at a cost to the company, the environment or both………...there is an alternative…………..
The Pyramid Resource Centre will collect suitable scrap materials free of charge for re-use for their members. What may be rubbish to you can be re-used for arts, crafts, design and technology projects and creative play.

Thurrock Play Network

About Thurrock Play Network

Thurrock Play Network (TPN) we are a small non-profit charity that provides advice, support and resources for play and recreation in the community. We give advice and support to individuals, voluntary groups and organisations ranging from parents, grandparents, child-minders, uniformed groups, faith groups, pre-schools, day nurseries, schools, colleges, special needs groups, Day Centre’s, allotment groups and sheltered accommodation complexes.

We source funding to develop projects, while providing access to a wide range of low cost resources for play and recreation via The Pyramid Resource Centre.

Thurrock Play Network works with the community by giving placements to social care clients who use the centre with their carers (e.g. Thurrock Lifestyle Solutions (TLS), Beacon Hill Post 16 and Treetops School). We are able to provide a safe, secure and friendly environment for the clients to gain confidence to give them an insight into a working environment

The Pyramid Resource Centre is an Aladdin’s Cave of resources for parents and carers of children and young people. With a scrap store, handicraft materials and a toy library all under one roof.

Or project improves the quality of care, activities and education for children and young people in Thurrock. We have an extension range of low cost resources available for sale or hire at The Pyramid Resource Centre that enables the provision of affordable, innovative high quality resources.
